outter drift

The Hub City stands as a fragile beacon of hope and struggle, a place where humanity and monster-kind attempt to rebuild after the catastrophic event caused by Scarlet’s (the playable character's companion) emotional explosion.

Scarlet’s uncontrollable emotions reshaped the world, birthing monsters born from human emotions, leaving humanity’s remnants to grapple with their fragmented reality.

Core Loop Overview

The game operates on a straightforward, linear adventure-based gameplay loop, immersing players in a world where their journey unfolds through a blend of narrative exploration, environmental puzzles, and parkour-based survival.

Before the start of each level, players interact with an NPC that represents each emotion. As the players traverse through the emotionally themed level, they witness the story of that NPC and find resolutions while solving puzzles, helping them ‘confront’ their issues. Each level offers a thematic and emotional challenge that adds variety and depth to the player experience.

Community Hub

Before entering each level, the player interacts with a specific NPC to ease them into the level's theme. The players can only see verbal dialogue in the Community Hub. The Community Hub displays the world that the players are in, a small safe heaven for both to coexist. It’s a small pocket of a city center with the following functionalities

  • Interactable NPCs

  • Achievement Viewing (Tatoo Shop)

  • Repair Shot

  • Street Corner

  • Bank Vault

  • Pharmacy
